Euro-Asian Journal of Sustainable Energy Development Policy

The Euro – Asian Journal of Sustainable Energy Development Policy is a semi-annual bilingual (English, Russian) scientific journal addressing research issues of energy and climate policy, mainly of the Black Sea, Caspian and Balkans regions. Coverage includes but is not restricted to:

– Energy supply and geopolitics;
– Strategic energy planning;
– Socio-economics of hydrocarbon reserves exploitation;
– Energy interconnections;
– Regional Energy Market development;
– Emerging hydrogen technologies;
– Socio-economics of transcontinental energy corridors;
– Kyoto Protocol mechanisms;
– Analysis,implementation and evaluation of climate policy instruments;
– RTD policies and socio-economics for new forms of energy.

Submission of papers

Submissions should be emailed at: PROMITHEAS@kepa.uoa.gr
with “PROMITHEAS JOURNAL” in the subject.

Submission languages:
 English or Russian

Types of contributions:
 Original research papers.

Original material:
 Submission of a paper implies that the work described has not been previously published in a scientific journal, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English, Russian, or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher.

Paper requirements:
 Papers should be 4000-5000 words long. Papers will be returned to the author before being reviewed with a set of instructions, if they are not submitted according to the format described below.

General: Use Microsoft Word to type the text of your paper.

Structure: Structure of the paper should be the following: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Main text, Acknowledgements, References, Appendix. Tables and Illustrations should be inserted into the Main Text at the proper position. All Tables and Illustrations should be accompanied by captions.

Title:
 The title of the manuscript must be typed in Times New Roman Font size 16pt, bold and centred.

Corresponding author: 
Author responsible for correspondence. Ensure that all contact information if provided (telephone and fax numbers, e-mail, postal address). Author names and affiliations must be typed in Times New Roman Font size 12pt. Contact details must be in Times New Roman Font size 11.

Abstract: An abstract of up to 250 words outlining the aims, scope and conclusions of the paper must be supplied. The abstract must be typed in Times New Roman Font size 10pt.
Keywords: Maximum of three keywords must be provided.

Main Text Layout: Manuscripts must be typed in Times New Roman Font size 10pt, using two columns per page. Print paper should be International Standard Size A4, with left and right-hand margins of 20 mm. The text should be single-spaced. Number every sheet. All titles in the manuscript must be numbered. The first level titles must be bold and the others in italics.

Units: Use the international system of units (SI).

Equations: Number consecutively any equations used in the text.

References and Footnotes: All cited publications should be presented in a list of references following the main text. Inside the main text, citations should refer to:
1. Single author: the author’s name and the year of publication;
2. Two authors: both authors’ names and the year of publication;
3. Three or more authors: first author’s name followed by ‘et al.’ and the year of publication.
Citations may also be made directly. Groups of references should be listed first alphabetically, then chronologically.
References, that follow the main text, should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters “a”, “b”, “c”, etc., placed after the year of publication.

Footnotes: Footnotes should be located at the bottom of the corresponding page and indicated in the text by superscript Arabic numbers which are consecutive through the paper.

Tables: Tables should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and given a suitable caption. All table columns should have an explanatory heading.

Notification
Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their paper by the editor. The editor will also send a notification of receipt of the paper.

Copyright
All authors must sign the Transfer of Copyright agreement before the article is published. This transfer agreement enables the PROMITHEAS Network to protect the copyrighted material for the authors, but does not relinquish the authors’ proprietary rights. The copyright transfer covers the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article, photographic reproductions, microfilm or any other reproductions of similar nature and translations. Photographs, figures or illustrations for which copyright exists can only be included in the paper if the authors have obtained permission from the copyright holder. (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
